A well-oiled machine… which is definitely required at this incredibly popular takeaway. Only open 3 days a week from 4:30-8pm but well worth the organisation to visit. Arrived literally at 4:33 and there were about 6 cars with people who had already ordered, waiting for their food. Ordered quickly and with food cooked to order, when ready, food was packed and distributed quickly. The result was me enjoying probably the best battered fish I’ve ever had. I don’t often eat as I don’t like greasy, tasteless and soggy batter which is all to common I’m afraid. Chips plentiful and fresh and tasty. Prices reasonable and the large fish and large chips more than enough for two. Next time I’m staying in the area, will be sure to visit again… 👍😋

Having lived in various parts of the UK and sampled lots of fish and chips, I have to say, this is by far the best. You may have to wait but take your buzzer, go and have a pint, or sit in the car and chill. Well worth it.

Surprisingly difficult to find a good chippy around Sutton in ashfield so drove seven miles to wessingtons. Found it to be a charming traditional chippy serving delicious fish and chips. Caught them on a lovely sunny day so was nice to sit outside in the car park and eat them piping hot. Liked the queue system where you stand outside waiting and they give you a device once you've ordered that vibrates when your food is ready. Took about ten minutes but was worth the wait. Staff were friendly. The queue indicates the quality of the product.
